So I'm going to attempt to post on something resembling a regular basis, but I make no promises. And looking back on that sentence, I make no promises as to grammer or spelling either. So here's what's happening.
With Michael--not to be confused with my brother of the same name. Things are going really well. I know I haven't mentioned him on here before, which is pretty remarkable considering we've been together for the better part of a year and a half. More on him some other time
Me--Just finished my first of three semesters of Massage Therapy school. If all goes well, I should be able to graduate in a year.
Yesterday--So I'm not entirely sure how I managed it, but I hit myself in the side of the eye with a wooden hanger, which luckely only resulted in a couple superficial scratches on my eye lid and below it. The gods were merciful, and today its not that bad. Anyway, longish story short, I was in the laundry room, which has a drying rod that is slghtly too high for me (being hung from the ceiling). The shirt was stubbon, I pulled, and as the shirt came off the hanger, the hanger came off the rod...that'll teach me to make Michael get me my clothes from down there.
Also as an aside...that was the best Super Bowl game I have ever seen!!! Michael and I were lucky enough to see it with some friends at their place, and let me tell you, they have the most ginormous TV. It must be like 60 inches or something. I've got to say, I was rooting for the underdog, so the outcome was nice for me.
So its another new year, which, if you're like me, occurs every few months. I like the idea of the new year and new beginning, and in this spirit, I like to celebrate every new year that comes my way, the Chinese New Year, Sowain, ect. So at least if I fail at my new year's resolution, I can start right back up in February...
I went out with my friend Silver (nickname, of course) tonight. We went to the best Irish restaurant. I think I had the best beef stew I've ever had. Silver's been to Ireland, and she said the food was very authentic, so I was happy. We also Saw The Break Up. It was very good. It had some hilarious parts, as well as some very serious ones. It definitely ran the gammit. Worth seeing in my opinion. The characters, while not completely realistic, had realistic character flaws and made realistic mistakes and decisions.
Kradical did a life soundrack and I liked it so much I did it myself. Put you computer music or Ipod on random, no cheating...

I love that restaurant. Especially dessert...what's better than hot melted chocolate used to dip strawberries and cheesecake and brownies and poundcake...sooooo good. Especially when you don't have to pay for it. Yay for older relatives with more money! I saw the DaVinci Code today also...definitely worth seeing in my opinion.
I love Worf...the show definitely got better once he joined. But now I'm off to face the deck again...I wonder if the necessary screws are there yet for me to put together the umbrella...maybe I can re rout something through the secondary couplings if not :)
I love my mother, she's the best. I just wish she hadn't developed her current habit of throwing away boxes before everything in it is assembled...it leads to key items going missing...screws, directions...I guess I could just duct tape everything together. At least she's good natured about it. Still, it does create some aggravation at times, especially when you want to assemble the item in question because then it will provide crucial shade for you from the unrelenting sun while you put together the other stuff for the deck...Still, the more I hear about other people's parents, the more I appreciate mine.
I will forever be known now as "the girl who ran after the ice cream truck". I guess there are worse things to be known for. What can I say, I was offered free money for ice cream as long as my sadistic friends got to watch me run for the ice cream truck! :) I had to make it past two gates (one of which was bungee corded shut mind you), and run uphill, but I caught it...thus earning the respect and laughter of my fellow friends...and I'd do it all again...hear that Old Swordsman, you'd better keep some ice cream money on you! But I had a really good time tonight. Some friends and I got together for a BBQ...the first of what I hope becomes a regular occurrence this summer. I don't think anything tastes quite as good as when its off the grill. Now if we can just get a group together and go on a pilgrimage to Foamhenge...I still think we should go down there and do a Solstice ritual just to see what the reaction would be...it is rural VA after all!
Well, I'm home again. I got back from visiting my brother in Roanoke over the weekend. It was not my most restful vacation ever, but it was very enjoyable! I have to say that it was in large part to a chance encounter with a guy...I'll call him Han, after the star wars character of course. They're kind of similar...quirky sense of humor, a little reckless, but good underneath it all. Anyway, Han and I hiked up to a rock yard on a mountain. It was spectacular up there. I loved actually seeing the stars. Of course, we then had to hike back down (climbing over rocks!) in the pitch black...we had a flashlight, but of course it was the new moon! It was awesome. He also took me to Smith Mountain lake the next night. I have to say, I love water...I am a pisces after all. And let me also say that I thouroughly enjoyed myself. I totally need it. Enough said. Oh, and I had fun visiting with my brother and sister-in-law too.
I really should be asleep right now. I have to get up early tomorrow. Apparently, my mom thinks that because I helped her pick out new carpet I need to be there when they install it! I got to out tonight with some really cool people. I like being single, I really do...but its hard when you're with two other couples and you're the only single person. Its times like that that I do get lonely. But its hard to find good, spiritual, or pagan men that are single, not gay, not too far out there (I'm weird ok, but there is a limit), and at least semi-attractive. I don't mean to sound shallow, but I do need to be attracted to my partner. I know that people can get more attractive based on their personality, but there is a point where that doesn't work. And unfortunately, the pagan community tends to attract a lot of people on the fringe of society...which is a double edged sword. Well, I'm off to bed. Tomorrow will come way too fast. Hey, maybe I'll actually get to see my brother and sister-in-law tomorrow. Them being in the area and all, stranger things have happened.
